Selection Criteria for Admission

I. Admissions in the University are open to all students without distinction of caste, creed, gender, or place of origin or domicile.
II. Foreign Students may also seek admission in the University.
III. Admissions merit is determined on the basis of 60% weightage of Academic record and 40% weightage of entry test.
IV. No third divisioner (i.e. less than 45% marks or equivalent) is eligible for admission to any study programme of the University.

Copies of the following documents, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer (BPS-17 or above) are necessary to be attached with the application form for admission.
(a) SSC or equivalent examination Certificate.
(b) HSSC / Intermediate / I.Com etc or equivalent.
(c) BA/BSc Examination degree or equivalent (where applicable).
(d) MA/MSc, DVM / MBBS, MPhil or equivalent Examination degree (where applicable).
(e) Character Certificate from the institution last attended.
(f) Provisional Certificate in case the original degree has not been issued by the board / university.
(g) Four Passport-size recent Photographs.
(h) Undertaking as per Specimen appended in the prospectus/attached with the application form.
(i) Migration certificate to be provided by the candidate at the time of admission or later on.
(j) National Identity Card or Form B or NIC of father/guardian.
VI. Admission to one department does not give a student the right of admission to another department.
VII. The provisional admission of a student is liable to cancellation, if it is found that any document submitted by the student is fake; or if there is any wrong statement in the admission form or if eligibility is not complete in any respect and such a student will have no right to go against the University in any court of law.
VIII. The maximum age limit for admission to BA/BSc (Hons) programmes is 22 years and to Hons 5th Semester Programmes 25 years and Master (Hons) programmes is 26 years. However, relaxation may be granted by the competent authority in deserving cases.
IX. Those applicants who have appeared in annual or supplementary examinations and are waiting for their results can also apply for admissions at their own risk purely on provisional basis, students failing to qualify for admission shall be refunded 50% of Tuition Fee on case to case basis only.
X. The Vice Chancellor may refuse/cancel admission of any student without assigning any reason.

I All admissions, in the first instance, will be completely provisional subject to verification of the original documents, scrutiny and verification / approval by the Admission Committee, and the university.
II The admission of the students shall stand cancelled if:
a Dues are not paid within one week of the notification of admission.
b A student remains absent for a week consecutively from classes without permission of the Competent Authority.
