One-Day Online Workshop on “Publishing your Research”.

Hazara University Haripur Campus and Institute of Research Promotion are jointly organizing a one day online workshop on “Publishing your Research” on 19th of April,2011(Tuesday) for faculty members, research scholars and research associates in Hazara University, Haripur campus.
The workshop is a purpose-built training program for the researchers; which will help them to design, manage and promote their career in research publication. The workshop will help researchers to aim publication at the phase of research design, produce publications from general research assignments and manage their research for publishing in middle to high ranked journals. The workshop has a beautiful combination of real life examples, capacity-building exercises and tips to speed up publishing rate. The trainers of workshop try to link academic publishing with career goals of researchers and faculty members.
The program will share the contents like targeting journals, setting publishing goals, setting publishing targets, managing co-authorship, managing reviewers, submitting revision and designing career in publishing research papers. The workshop will share best practices, international experiences and real-life cases of managing publishing for researcher papers.

Presentation of research at SEB 2010

"Two faculty members from Hazara University presented their research work in a 5 days 'International SEB Main Meeting 2010' in Prague, Czech Republic. Mr. Faisal Nouroz and Mr. Niaz Ali (Department of Botany, HU) persuing their Post-graduate studies at University of Leicester, England presented their research work as posters in a meeting, where more than 586 well known and eminent scientists around the globe participated and few of them presented their talks and posters. The 5 days conference was divided into eight different Biological sections. The abstracts of Hazara University faculty members were accepted in section 'Chromosome Organization and Cytogenetics'. The topic of Mr. Faisal Nouroz was 'Molcular Charecterization, Evolutionary Activity and Distribution of Transposons (jumping genes) in Diploids and Polyploids Musa and Brassica Genomes and Mr. Niaz Ali was 'Repetitive DNA Diversity and Chromatin Structure of Wheat Breeding Lines Incorporating Alien Chromatin Segments'. The work was quite interesting and was appreciated by many scientists from different countries. This conference not only provided the nice oppertunity to present the work but to learn alot and to meet and communicate with best researchers of the field around the world".
