Ajmal Khan, Vice Chancellor Islamia College University kidnapped

The faculty, and staff of Hazara University Mansehra in a meeting expressed their deep sense of shock and grief on kidnapping of Mr. Ajmal Khan, Vice Chancellor, Islamia College University, Peshawar. The meeting deplored the inadequate security measures on the university campuses although in a previous such shocking incident, Vice Chancellor of Kohat University was also kidnapped by the extremists. The Vice Chancellor of Quetta University was shot dead but the teachers seemed to be the most neglected community of the society. The meeting unanimously demanded of the government to take all the emergency measures for the recovery of Mr. Ajmal Khan who had become the victim of extremist elements. Being a distinguished educationist and a highly successful administrator, Prof. Ajmal Khan throughout his life has been devotedly performing his duty at various universities, which were recognised and acknowledged by all his associates. He has nothing to do with the present wave of ethnic prejudices prevailing in the country. He has been an administrator par excellent. The meeting registered its deep shock over the tragic incident.
